Memorial Day Weekend

Ah, the long weekend is almost here. We have 5 days to prospect and have fun in the mountains. Get camp opened up, watch the river, and breathe in that mountain air! Doesn't get much better than that! Except finding that 10 ounce nugget!!!! Icing! We will be out of touch until next Tuesday, so any answers or orders will have to wait confirmation until then. A laptop is in our near future! Take care and have a GREAT weekend!

Gold Miners ETF

May 23, 2006. Forgot to mention the new gold miners ETF that launched yesterday. It opened at $37.25 and is above $38.00 today. The ETF (electronically traded fund) invests in gold miners across the board so you can own a piece of each without having to pick and chose. An ETF can be an interesting part of a portfolio, but isn't good for everyone. They can carry charges you may not want to deal with. ALWAYS check out any investment CAREFULLY before you get your cash involved. We are not recommending it, just mentioning it for your information. Gold is back up a bit this morning. Looking forward to the long weekend. Hope yours is GREAT!

May 22, 2006. Snow melt is comin' down fast, now, but reports are that it has lost 50% of its' water in the past three weeks due to wind and evaporation. Rivers will be high for a while, but are expected to subside earlier than expected. Also means HIGH fire danger in the mountains for the summer, and a lot of areas already are under total fire bans. WATCH THOSE CAMPFIRES! www.hookedongold.com has tons of information on conditions for your prospecting in Colorado, and other information for your prospecting pleasure. Our goal is to help you find more gold, and use your equipment more efficiently.
