Golden Aspens with the Promise of Winter the Background

Ok, I promised I would post the Aspen pictures today, and so I am doing that for you to see the beautiful scenes we saw this past weekend in the Cache Creek area. People were still running all over the piles and digging in the pits and finding gold. New gold panners came in for a lesson, and highbankers and sluice boxes were running full tilt. Water is still not an issue in the area and people are taking advantage of the wonderful weather while they can. We took a walk to check out some more areas and to possibly find another area to find gold. Several are looking good! While the V.P. candidates debate this evening, I'm sitting here putting up pictures and getting a word or two to you while I listen to what they have to say. I have a report on our metal detecting trip for next week, so stay tuned to see what we did and what we found, and a few pictures.

Crisp air is on its' way this next week, so be sure you have that jacket if you are out in the field. We will be on our way out our door on Saturday to find gold in the high country. After spending a couple of days sitting with my youngest grandson, and then back home to try to begin to get the house under control after a summer of being out and about, I will be ready to get out into the field this weekend to find some more gold. This winter may have a lot of cleaning and separating.......and I just MIGHT clean and separate stuff in the HOUSE, too. LOL! Newsletter tomorrow.
Good Prospecting to You,
Shirley Weilnau
